This was sooo delicious. This is the first time I’ve made tofu properly and I loved it thanks to @scran.ken ‘s amazing recipe!

I’ve had tofu in restaurants before and really enjoyed it too. I genuinely think if it’s cooked in the right way then anyone can enjoy it so new vegans please don’t knock it just yet as it can be a great way to satisfy any meaty cravings and is a good source of protein obviously. It genuinely just tastes and feels like eating crispy chewy fried egg!

I followed @scran.ken ‘s recipe for the tofu:

Just break up a block of @tofooco extra firm tofu with your hands instead of chopping for extra crispness. Toss in a mixture of salt, cornflour, garlic granules, a wee bit of sugar and Chinese five spice. Fry the tofu pieces in some oil for a min or two on each side then transfer to a baking tray and cook in the oven for 10-15 mins to get even crispier.

Return the crispy tofu to a frying pan with some soy sauce and glaze it up.

I just served ours with some stir-fried veggies cooked in soy sauce and mixed through a @tescofood plum & hoisin sauce and served with some fresh chilli. Sooooo good.

This book was really good. It’s so much more than a 1-month vegan challenge. It comes with 10 other bonus books that offer valuable information that isn’t found in any other vegan recipe book I’ve bought. I really enjoyed reading the guide on Macronutrients and How to deal with social challenges. Oh and the recipe book is definitely my favorite, which makes it easy to stick to the vegan challenge even after 30 days.⠀I highly recommend this book to anybody thinking of transitioning to a vegan diet.
